The Senior Electrical Engineer researches, plans, designs, develops, analyzes and tests a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including displays, sensors, processors, interface units and other electronic devices; circuitry components; analog and digital computers; and control and test equipment.
Perform design activities as assigned by supervisor.
Produce reports and analysis.
Design and run validation testing.
Participate in design reviews.
Participate in proposal development.
Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Consult vendors on components and make final component selections
Investigate and select subassemblies for incorporation into designs
May interface directly with Program Management
Bachelor's Degree in engineering or equivalent scientific discipline with 5-8 years’ experience to be proficient in the above areas or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Incumbents should possess a broad knowledge of precedents in their area of technical specialization and a good basic knowledge of principles and practices in related specifications.
Experience with legacy electronics
Aerospace or defense industry experience
Troubleshooting and testing experience
Verification and Validation experience
Cad experience is a plus
AutoCAD is a plus
Mentor graphics is a plus
