VICE PRES INFORMATION TECHNLGY (UA-VPIT-IUSBA)
Independently support multimedia presentation technology systems and infrastructure and provide oversight of technology support of campus events. Provide leadership in the design, development, programming and other tasks related to the implementation and operational integrity of highly specialized multimedia presentation systems in meeting rooms, classrooms and other learning environments. Service, maintain, and repair a variety of instructional technical systems and equipment in compliance with industry and departmental standards. Provide technical expertise, training, and support to CTS staff, other UITS units, and campus departments. Meet with campus and external customers to determine technology needs for events and ensure staff are appropriately scheduled to provide support of events. Provide leadership in the evaluation of emerging technologies/trends and make recommendations for new and lifecycle replacement initiatives.
Bachelor's degree and three years of experience with multimedia systems and their design, and providing technology support of events.
Combinations of education and related experience may be considered.
Knowledge of multimedia systems including multimedia and video equipment design, installation and maintenance. Solid digital and analog electronics foundation. Operational, diagnostic, and maintenance skills for video and audio systems. Knowledge of Ethernet/TCP IP protocols, Crestron programming tools and Extron Configuration software. Ability to work well in a team environment while also able to work independently to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner. Excellent communication skills and a strong customer service attitude. Ability to interact with people of varying degrees of technical knowledge.
Bachelor's degree in a related field. Avixa-CTS (CTS-D, CTS-I) certification, Crestron Programming, Extron Configuration and Dante Audio certifications. Experience with one or more of the following programming tools: XML, HTML, SIMPL, C/C++.
