Equipment Engineer - 1st Shift, 2nd shift,
This equipment engineering role requires a technical professional working as part of an engineering team to support the evaluation of new technologies and continuous equipment improvements. Primary responsibilities include operating, maintaining, troubleshooting and repair of ion implant equipment. Identify and track equipment deficiencies early on in the design process to implement improvements and document preventative maintenance procedures. The role interfaces directly with the process engineering group to develop and support test plans for new systems and processes.
Operate equipment - interface with applications, marketing, sales, and customers to define demo conditions and in-house product characterization.
Maintain equipment including Source, Beamline, and wafer handling areas with an understanding of product hazards and safe working practices. Setup, adjustment and calibration of system wafer handling and robotics.
Troubleshooting of systems, including electrical and mechanical disciplines, recruiting expert resources as needed.
Analyze equipment performance. Correlate and interpret observations and test results, and make recommendations for improvements.
Work with a cross-functional team to develop and implement test plans and value added solutions. Function as the equipment contact engineer with knowledge of tool configuration status.
Continue developing a greater understanding of the scientific theory of the product.
Ability to perform the physical labor required during maintenance and repair of the equipment and to do so while wearing the appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment).
Proficient in MS Office products
Travel: Up to 15%.
B.S. in Engineering, Physics or related discipline
ION Implant (or related field) experience is preferred
