Applied Dynamics International (ADI), headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan, is a Digital Engineering and Industrial Digital Transformation company. We are industry leaders in the development of real-time test systems.

We are seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team to work with ADI's open architecture framework, supporting best-in-class COTS and open-source technologies in a common, project-based environment. Our ADEPT computing platform allows our customers to develop and deploy real-time simulations, machine learning, and data management / analysis applications for primarily aerospace, defense, and smart manufacturing markets.

The prospective employee will support the System Engineering efforts, in an active and fast paced environment. Major Job Duties:
Manage company products and create BOMs within ERP database
Create design drawings for outside manufacture as well as internal assembly
Validate and inspect designs using a variety of mechanical and electrical measurement tools
Assist in prototype building as required
Assist with system level requirements capture, disseminating customer requirements to create technical specifications /drawings / Interface documents
Perform requirements validation to check for completeness, correctness, testability, and manufacturability
Assist with system level risk assessments ensuring compliance to appropriate legislative and regulatory requirements
Assistance to Sales, Marketing and Proposals teams.
Support in the design phases from concept to detailed design with exposure to the customer and/or supply chain interface.
Assist in the development of system documentation or training materials
Provide technical support to troubleshoot and resolve internal and client user problems.
Support system integration, verification, and validation, including factory acceptance testing (FAT) and site acceptance testing (SAT)
Participate in continuous improvement techniques
Other job-related duties as assigned

Position Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in engineering, computer science, related field, or equivalent experience
2 years of experience in one or more of the following disciplines:
Mechanical design
Control Systems Engineering
System Design or Verification & Validation

Desired Mechanical Design Experience:
Experience in designing, developing, or integrating systems
Familiarization with BOM creation and product management within an ERP system
Designing mechanical products for manufacturing and FMEA
Technical writing for end user documentation

A recent graduate would be considered subject to the relevance of the degree studies and work experience.
