Job Description:

AK Structures, a FAA Part 145 Repair Station, islooking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer. We are looking to hire an Engineer with excellent mathematical, development,modeling, IT, and analytical skills. Experience with aircraft structures aplus. The Engineer will be involved inall phases of aircraft structural repairs and manufacture. This task will require an engineer that is detailoriented, creative, and possesses strong problem-solving skills.

To ensure success, the applicant should displayan investigative nature and must be accurate, commercially aware, and have strongcommunication skills with a keen interest in ensuring the safety and physicalintegrity of products. Top candidateswill have excellent project management skills with knowledge of materials andaircraft structural components.


Withthe involvement of staff, create/design aircraft structural repairs.

Designtooling and other repair-related fixtures to ensure repair integrity.

Makecalculations about pressures, loads and stresses.

Considerthe strength of materials and select appropriately.

Providetechnical advice on safe designs and repair procedures.

Analyzeconfigurations of the basic components of a structure.

Developnew repairs to save customer and company money.

Designand Develop tooling and fixturing to manufacture structural parts.
