Position Overview:
Phillips-Medisize, LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with automation experience to lead New Product Introduction automation projects in support of our medical manufacturing facility in Menomonie, WI! This position will support manufacturing in the effort to insure optimum engineering of projects/programs to meet customer and manufacturing requirements.

Essential Functions:
Functions as a liaison with project engineering, manufacturing and the customer regarding the implementation of programs, both molding and/or secondary operations
Provide technical support/solutions to manufacturing processes, manage to established yield and throughput, and drive for cost reduction and optimal quality
Manage new automation project implementation projects using GAMP 5 methodology
Lead equipment Factory Acceptance Testing at equipment vendor locations
Coordinate equipment installations at factory locations
Develop new equipment processes using Design of Experiment methodology
Create all automation documentation packages (Work instructions, Set-up Instructions, Calibration procedures, Maintenance instructions, etc.) for hand off into production
Train operations staff for production launches
Facilitate and support facility and manufacturing safety, environmental and ergonomics efforts
Extended travel to other facilities may be required to support business needs
Some programs may have vision requirements
Other duties as assigned

Position Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering field with 3+ years of related experience in automation, and manufacturing equipment.
Experience working with GAMP 5 methodology highly desired.

Skills and Abilities:
Strong and diverse knowledge of injection molding tooling, materials, manufacturing, quality, and product design skills
Ability to use CAD to determine if tooling, equipment and part designs meet requirements
Ability to manage multiple large-scale projects
Demonstrated superior communication, teamwork and organizational skills
Ability to accurately quote design, tools/equipment, and parts
Ability to develop and meet project schedules, along with contingency plans
Demonstrated ability to develop and meet financial goals
Demonstrated ability to think out of the box and recommend options
