Northrop Grumman is seeking a Software Developer to help design and build the next generation submarine combat systems trainers in Newport RI.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree and 2 years experience
1+ years’ experience in software engineering
Experience with C++ Object Oriented Programming
Experience in software architecture and design of object-oriented applications, unit testing and installation.
Experience with configuration management and source control systems such as Clearcase/Clearquest and Git
Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
Work in Newport, Rhode Island
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience programming in a distributed Linux operating system environment
Understanding of operating systems scheduling; applicant should have experience developing performance-based software minimizing CPU utilization and wait states.
Knowledge of Virtualization solutions such as.
VMWare
Red Hat KVM
Experience in Modeling and Simulation
Knowledge of Navy Command and control, sensor and weapon systems
Active Secret Clearance
Salary Range: $78,600 USD - $118,000 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
