We offer competitive compensation packages including health, dental, vision and life insurance, flexible work schedules, and exceptional growth opportunities. This is a full-time, on-site position at our office in downtown Burlington, VT (however, we will consider remote candidates at our discretion). Note: remote work is currently practiced due to COVID-19 social distancing.
Responsibilities

  • Train, deploy, and monitor/maintain predictive models in the IXIS software platform, using Python and/or R in an AWS environment
  • Participate in requirements gathering and solution design for new and ongoing projects, collaborating closely with Data Science, Engineering, and Product teams

  • Prioritize multiple tasks intelligently and maintain clear lines of communication with supervisor, team, and clients

Required Skills and Experience

  • B.A./B.S. in Computer Science or related area; or B.A./B.S. in a quantitative area (such as Statistics, Applied Math, Data Science or Economics) with a minor (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science
  • 1+ years’ professional experience in a ML Engineering, Data Science, or Data Engineering role, with demonstrated success in training, deploying, and maintaining predictive models with quantified accuracy in a production software environment
  • 1+ years' professional experience deploying models within AWS using PyTorch, TensorFlow, or a similar deep learning framework - knowledge of Spark (EMR) and serverless (IAC) a plus
  • Must be adept at functional programming in Python and/or R and love writing clean code – knowledge of DevOps (CICD) practices a plus
  • Experience working with data in the wild, including structured and unstructured data, record linkage/householding, data cleaning/reshaping, descriptive data analysis, and exploratory data visualization
  • Uncompromising attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and a systematic and creative approach to problem-solving, with strong data intuition
  • Ability to work well with a team and on a deadline

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Experience deploying real-time predictive analytics endpoints (e.g., using AWS Sagemaker)
  • Experience with customer analytics modeling (lifetime value, etc.) and experience working with web analytics/clickstream data
