FEV North America, Inc is looking for a Regulations and Government Relations Engineer to join our team. As a Regulations and Government Relations Engineer you will work closely with multiple teams supporting vehicle and engine testing. Responsibilities include maintaining awareness of all US and international laws and regulations affecting engine and vehicle certification testing, as well as data collection, processing, and analysis. In addition, you will be responsible for writing reports and preparing technical presentations.
Qualifications:
In depth knowledge of battery electric vehicles
In-depth knowledge of working principles of internal combustion engines
In-depth knowledge of alternative propulsion technologies such as hybrid systems
Vehicle system knowledge
Understanding of federal requirements as they pertain to vehicle performance and emissions testing
Understanding of US and international regulatory requirements as they pertain to engine and vehicle testing
Exceptional communication and presentation skills
Ability to interpret code of federal regulations and communicate the findings effectively
Ability to understand and adapt to vehicle and powertrain testing environments
Understanding of basic principles of engine and powertrain calibration
Bachelor engineering degree, preferably Masters (can be ME or EE)
Prior exposure to regulatory requirements
3 years experience plus
