Distribution Channel Account Manager— D&H
Tripp Lite is seeking an organized and energetic sales professional to join our U.S. Channel Sales Team. The Channel Account Manager is based near the D & H corporate headquarters in Harrisburg, PA and is responsible for managing and expanding current relationships, driving increased revenues and generating leads within the sales teams and sales management. With a focus on developing trusted relationships through generating leads and revenue opportunities, the Channel Account Manager is responsible for daily onsite engagement at the D & H PA office.
In collaboration with sales representatives, the Channel Account Manager identifies business opportunities and conducts follow-up necessary to close large deals. Related responsibilities include writing quotes, leading conference calls, tracking sales activity and resolving customer issues.
Conduct consulting and partnership-selling activities to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
Develop and convey a strong understanding of IT needs to quickly assess which Tripp Lite solutions fit customer needs.
Build and manage the sales pipeline with a focus on solution-based selling.
Work proactively with Tripp Lite Sales Engineers to start solution-oriented sales practices.
Work with buyers to manage inventory of 4000+ skus, days of supply, bring in new skus, focus skus, etc.
Develop and execute marketing programs, contests and incentives.
Create sales opportunities through sales trainings and other sales-related activities.
BA/BS Degree, preferably in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales or related discipline.
Excellent customer service, account management and negotiation abilities.
Demonstrated and proven ability to develop opportunities and close large deals.
Excellent presentation skills and written communication skills.
Ability to set goals and self-manage according to set objectives.
Strong attention to detail.
Proficiency with logging activity in Salesforce.com.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
Travel, including quarterly visits to Tripp Lite corporate headquarters in Chicago, IL for ongoing sales development and training.
Preferred Skills, a plus:
IT channel/distribution experience, specifically with D&H
Current contacts and relationships within D&H and the IT industry.
