Executive Creative Director at NI
We seek an executive creative director to join our marketing leadership team at our Austin headquarters to help deliver and inspire creative excellence in the customer experiences we create for the world’s true heroes – engineers and scientists. The creative leader in this position will partner with our marketing services team to guide our agency partnerships, internal stakeholders and our internal creative team to concept and design experiences that improve our customers’ experience, deliver powerful business results, and build the reputation of National Instruments globally. Our ECD will collaborate and contribute to the creative process as a leader and as an important member of the global marketing team. They will build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, drive new creative and messaging initiatives, and maintain high standards for creative direction and delivery on key campaigns while driving a strong creative culture throughout the company, including product influence.

Conceptualize and create campaigns/experiences that connects our brand with prioritized campaigns and personas
Work closely with other members of marketing organization to develop brand standards for the company, and identify new opportunities to enhance the brand across all mediums
Partner with our creative team (in-house and agency) to deliver world-class campaign and customer experience work that grows the reputation of NI
Deliver creative solutions that exceed our customers’ experience expectations
Inspire our partner agencies, our marketing team, stakeholders and our customers to build creative excellence into everything we do
Coordinate with the Creative Manager and other leaders to drive initiatives focused on the growth, satisfaction, and quality of marketing assets
Collaborate and contribute to the creative process as a leader, and as a member of the marketing leadership team
Translate company goals and customer needs into creative concepts, messaging and deliverables
Foster a culture for creative team attitude, behavior, teamwork, and professional development

The ECD is the mind behind a company’s public identity throughout all types of media, including print and web presence. The ECD will work with stakeholders and other executive-level management to determine how the company should be represented to the public. Will be accountable for conceptualization, visualization and design of marketing campaigns. You have a vision for how to solve problems, grow our brand and deliver strong cohesive work. A strong leader, you have a passion for process, people and leadership. This role requires innovative thinking and a unique perspective on traditional and digital media. This senior creative thought leader takes a "roll up your sleeves" approach to day-to-day workflow, providing creative direction to the marketing services team and acts as an individual contributor on some projects.
The ECD is responsible for the visual and verbal identity of the NI brand, working with leaders in Marketing, Brand, Experience, and Product for full development and buy-in to the brand and identity, execution of creative, infusion into the Product experience, and development of assets to be used broadly throughout the company.
Leadership – exceptionally skilled in leadership and organization.
Intimately familiar with the customer experience and understand what makes a customer tick
Knowledge of marketing trends
Creativity and authenticity –responsible for the company image, and customers should be able to see that authenticity
Presentation/Selling – ability to present and sell ideas to internal executive leadership
