We have a job opening for a full-time ESD Engineer in Burlington, VT or Albany, NY
Responsibilities
- Define ESD methodology for all silicon & IP development
- Design ESD protection devices and circuits to meet design requirements
- Develop test structures to characterize Si for ESD/LU properties
- Drive the design, testing and characterization of ESD devices
- Generate or review ESD/LU testing plans for wafer level electrical characterization
- Drive the development of design rules based on Si characterization data
- Manage the sign-off reviews with internal design teams, external vendors and customers
- Drive ESD/LU related debug activities
Requirements
Experience with ESD development including:
- A strong knowledge of advanced semiconductor device physics, including deep submicron CMOS devices.
- Strong data analysis skills are required to extract the high current ESD properties
- Knowledge of state-of-the-art ESD circuit design techniques and topologies
- Experience in Cadence/Synopsys/Mentor Graphics design tools for design, layout and verification tools.
- Familiarity with ESD analysis tools like PERC / LDL or similar software tools.
- Familiarity with ESD modeling flow
- Understanding of ESD device wafer level testing
- Strong oral and written communication skills is required to provide ESD/LU technical leadership with diverse worldwide teams.
- Layout skills is a big plus
- Work authorization for United States is required
Must be willing to relocate to Albany, NY or Burlington, VT
