Navy Marine Corps
The Navy Marine Corps business group provides end-to-end IT solutions to the Department of the Navy including transport, networking, end user hardware and services, cybersecurity and staffing. Using agile engineering and DevOps methods, we produce mission-specific solutions to solve the Fleet's challenges.
We are looking for a Citrix Administrator in Norfolk, VA. The Citrix Administrator will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of Citrix Xen App/Xen Desktop and Citrix Access Gateway(Net Scaler) systems, to ensure the availability and consistent performance of our corporate applications. This is a “hands-on” position requiring solid technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
The responsibilities of the Citrix Administrator include: Manage Citrix Xen App/Desktop, Net scaler through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems. Configure and maintain Xen App/Desktop servers, Net Scalers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security. Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations. Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end. Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes. Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement. Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems. Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours. Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members. Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams
Candidates should possess the following qualifications- Citrix XenDesktop/Citrix Access Delivery Controller (NetScaler) Administration experience; Knowledgeable in at least one procedural programming language, e.g., PowerShell; Knowledge of configuration automation tools, e.g., Ansible; Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO) using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools; Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for XenDesktop.
Required certifications: CompTIA Security+ or other DoD 8570 IAT II certification. Must achieve SAFe practitioner certification within 6 months of hire. MCTS, MCITP, and/or MVP certifications a plus.
Requires 2 to 5 years with BS/BA or 0 to 2 years with MS/MA/MBA or 8 to 10 years with no degree.
