Has an immediate opportunity for a Seller-Doer with Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) and other Nature-Focused expertise, including Nature Derived and Nature Inspired solutions, to support our established and still growing business areas in the US. Position location can be in metropolitan areas such as Boston MA, Denver CO, Portland ME, Bothell WA. or to work remotely within the US.
The successful candidate will support and grow Tetra Tech’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and Sustainability Consulting practice with a focus on developing, cultivating, and implementing projects that enhance natural or man-made blue and green infrastructure and create sustainable solutions across many industries resulting in long-term economic, social, and environmental benefits. Work in this sector may include providing some of the following services: ecosystem restoration, climate risk assessments, climate adaptation and resiliency, disaster risk reduction, ecological engineering, flood attenuation, flood damage reduction, natural resources management and conservation, and sustainable development.
Develop and implement NBS that align with and advance Tetra Tech’s ESG and Sustainability goals.
Identify target clients and pursue opportunities with a focus on NBS.
Advise clients on how to integrate NBS into climate strategies and plans.
Develop and deliver effective marketing presentations.
Provide critical technical expertise and leadership for marketing and executing projects.
Manage and/or support project teams across Tetra Tech operating units to implement NBS projects.
Ensure high quality project oversight and management, including preparation of project work plans, technical reports, and client or agency presentations.
Successfully initiate, plan, execute, monitor and communicate on progress and deliver on goals.
Master’s degree or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Degree preferred in Environmental Science, Natural Resources, or Engineering.
8+ years of experience in natural resource management, climate change adaptation, ecosystem restoration, engineering design/implementation of nature-based solutions.
Outstanding written and spoken communication skills.
Ability to build and grow strong and trusted client relationships.
Proven experience in management and coordination of diverse project teams.
Demonstrates self-awareness, cultural competency and inclusivity.
Ability to succeed in a team-oriented organization, interfacing with a variety of different groups to accomplish project objectives.
Ability to efficiently and effectively manage multiple tasks and projects as needed and deliver timely and quality service.
Excellent organizational and networking skills.
Advanced understanding of coastal, marine, environmental or related engineering and/or ecosystem principles and practices.
Strong analytical skills and experience performing rigorous analysis in support of highly visible work.
Excellent written and spoken communication and a strong commitment to solving environmental problems through natural, sustainable solutions.
Salary commensurate with experience.
Salary Range: $100,000 - $160,000
