What will you do?
As an account manager you will own the customer relationship and be an advocate for GBS and TELUS in the customer organization and for the customer within GBS. The primary responsibilities for this customer-facing business sales position are to prospect, present, and sell complex products / services to new small and medium sized business (SMB) customers. We provide our customers a myriad of solutions including mobility, VOIP, IT services, cloud solutions, automation and security products / services. You will work internally with a sales engineer to help design solutions for prospective clients. This is an individually contributing sales position that requires a high-activity sales model and a "hunter" mentality. We are seeking sales professionals, who have successfully prospected, developed, and maintained accounts in a business selling environment, and who have a desire to move into or continue to grow in the information technology field. A successful individual will be managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing new accounts.
Background & Experience:
3+ years of experience in business sales
Competitive spirit and hunter mentality
Business and technical acumen: Ability to identify and articulate solutions to customer problems in voice and data communications, office infrastructure, and computing and IT services
Proven selling experience to commercial and industrial organizations with ability to close long-term service agreements with stakeholders
The ability to communicate effectively across broad levels of client representatives from highly technical employees to senior executives

Responsibilities:
Promote and sell mobility, managed IT services, VoIP solutions and information technology offerings
Uncover business opportunities leading to the creation of innovative information technology solutions with new and existing customers
Develop long-term, valued business relationships with customers and partners
Solve client issues with a solution-based sales approach
Maintain a degree of knowledge regarding information technology products and the ability to communicate this knowledge to clients
Develop a solid understanding of the managed services and information technology used by clients
Provide accurate and timely forecasts and maintaining a healthy funnel of leads using an internal CRM tool
Work with technical team to ensure that the solution design is deliverable and will meet client needs
Prepare proposals, presentations, quotations, agreements and supporting documentation as required
Muss possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel as required
