Facebook is seeking experienced Software Engineers returning to the workforce for an opportunity to join the Return to Work, Software Engineering Program.This position has a 16-week duration. All candidates are expected to commit to a consecutive 16 week timeframe for successful completion of the program. At the end of the term, those participants who have demonstrated their ability to succeed and make an impact at Facebook will be considered for a full-time position. Roles are filled as candidates are identified.This program is open to all candidates who have relevant professional experience and have been out of the workforce for 2 years or longer immediately prior to the start of the program. Work closely with product and design teams to define and refine research specifications
Master Facebook’s development standards from developing to releasing code in order to take on tasks and projects with increasing levels of complexity
1+ years relevant experience building large-scale applications or similar experience
1+ years experience designing and completing medium to large scale features independently without guidance
1+ years of experience identifying and driving changes to applications as needed
Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Math/Engineering, or equivalent educational experience.
Strong understanding of relevant product area, codebase, and/or systems
Strong communication skills: consistently seek out and give feedback
