As a Business Systems Analyst, based in our Kennesaw Corporate Office, you will be the liaison between the regional offices and IT department to improve the current operating system. The Business Systems Analyst is asked to analyze, communicate, and validate requirements for changes to business processes and information systems to ensure the company´s regional offices run smoothly. The Business Analyst function analyses existing and proposed business processes and any related upcoming challenges recommending solutions that enable the organization to improve quality, efficiency and ultimately reduce costs and achieve company goals.
You will directly report to the SVP of Regional Offices and will be providing system support to the regional offices. The Business Analyst is key to support the company’s objectives and standards.
Demonstrate up-to-date expertise with the current PA system by being a point of reference for any system queries from our regional offices and collaborates with other departments (Corporate Underwriting, Finance, Compliance and Claims).
Consult with business users to identify current business operating procedures and to clarify program objectives
Lead any new implementations (such as a new product) by translating business needs into the applicable system requirements and guide the process from requirements gathering, to testing and implementation.
Construct application simulations based on business user requirements
Facilitate user acceptance testing
Assist programmers and programmer analysts in system acceptance testing and troubleshooting
Use formal written communication methods to communicate informational updates and system improvements (e.g. emails, newsletters, PowerPoint presentations).
Deliver PA training to regional offices employees and make sure monthly releases are understood (through UWA trainings for example).
Identify opportunities to improve the system.
Attend meetings with the project teams regularly to review project deliverables and deadlines.
Create and maintain issue/bugs logs, meeting minutes, meeting schedules, project summaries, updates, determine daily priorities and follow the proper escalation paths.
Document and keep up to date the PA System manual / training material.
Participate in company projects by providing information about the System´s point of view.
Prior experience as a Business Analyst of 3 to 5 years
Experienced in stop loss and insurance
Advanced proficiency in standard software applications (Microsoft word, excel, power point)
Excellent written communication skills; advanced verbal communication skills.
Experience in Business requirements analysis and documentation.
Demonstrated strong analytical skills for projects.
Able to multitask and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
A proactive approach to problem solving, taking ownership of his/her responsibilities.
Service oriented, to both external clients and employees.
Punctual and reliable.
Ability to work across multiple business units.
