How you will contribute:
The Field Service/Support Engineer is responsible for successfully delivering onsite and remote startup, troubleshooting, training, optimization, and other critical services for digital lighting systems. In addition, this role includes support for internal and external stakeholders that may range from high-levels of knowledge to no knowledge of our products and services. With effective communication at the core of the role, one must communicate ongoing progress, manage expectations, and drive favorable outcomes through multiple communication mediums.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Performs onsite lighting and control startup, troubleshooting and end user training.
Provides remote technical support for both internal and external stakeholders (such as agents, distributors, electrical contractors, end users, and internal teams) as it pertains to field applications of product.
Creates and maintains relationships with key stakeholders to provide differentiated service.
Provides engineering support and communicates cross-functionally with other departments.
Qualified Applicants will have:
Associate's Degree or Technical Degree or equivalent
Required Years of Experience
0 to 2 years, 2 to 4 preferred
General computer skills, including but not limited to e-mail, spread sheet, word processing, and data entry.
Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
Working knowledge of lighting control system wired and wireless technology, communication networking, high and low voltage electrical wiring.
Solid electrical / electronic troubleshooting knowledge
Required travel is 80-100% of time during work week.
