ATCS is seeking Structural Engineers to support FEMA disaster recovery efforts throughout the United States. This is an exciting opportunity to join a recently awarded Public Assistance Contract (PA-TAC IV) throughout the East and Gulf Coasts.
These temporary opportunities require 100% travel (deployment) for up to 12 months. Expenses are reimbursed by ATCS.
Key Role Requirements
The Structural Engineer will assist in the preparation of project worksheets including documenting damages, preparing estimates, determining best practices for restoration and preparing technical reports. The Engineer may be required to determine mitigation opportunities and code requirements for facilities being repaired and/or replaced. This person may manage or coordinate the work of other specialists.
Must be a US Citizen per contract requirements
Expertise in structural engineering
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
Experience in disaster response and recovery (FEMA PA experience is preferred)
Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance which involves a Moderate Background Investigation with fingerprint and credit checks
Must possess an undergraduate degree with 5 to 20+ years of experience
Ability to be deployed at disaster locations for up to one year
An understanding of requirements for assessment of disaster damage to public infrastructure
Completion of appropriate FEMA PA courses (https://training.fema.gov/is/searchis.aspx?search=public assistance&all=true)
