What Would You Do?
Reporting to Encore's Product Manager, this role would work with Encore's clients to understand their specific technical requirements and interpret those requirements into the CAD drawing package.
The duties and responsibilities of this position would include:
Create working drawing package for Palliser Encore projects (space and electrical planning).
Confer with customer to determine factors affecting planning interior environments, such as, architectural preferences, and purpose and function.
Conduct research to understand building codes, by-laws, space and site requirements, and other technical documents and reports to determine their effect on designs or plans.
Advise customer on interior design factors such as space planning, layout and utilization of Palliser product.
Coordinate with other professionals, such as contractors, architects, and engineers, to ensure job success.
Work with team members to estimate product requirements and provide quotes.
Present drawing package to customer for approval.
Use computer-aided drafting (CAD) and related software to produce construction documents.
Provide customers with configuration and technical drawings as needed.
Create product specific drawings in CAD.
What Do You Bring?
Diploma or certificate in drafting/CAD, or equivalent work experience and education in related field.
1 to 3 years of experience in AutoCAD.
Proficient in MS Excel.
Must be very organized, highly engaged and self-motivated.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Excellent communication skills.
3D solid modeling capabilities considered an asset but not a requirement.
