Design Assistance, Engineering, and Geospatial Information System (GIS) Support Services - Al Dhafra Air Base (ADAB), UAE

As the Electrical Engineer Assistant will assist project teams to create world class designs for new projects, alterations and redevelopments on US Air Force at AL DAFRA Air Base. Additionally, he/she will work with the project team throughout the design and construction process, adapting electrical plans according to budget constraints, design factors or client needs.
Essential Job Functions:
Assist in the electrical design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion.
Assist with modifying and reviewing production drawings for a variety of projects including, but not limited to: power plants, process facilities, on US Air Force AL DAFRA military facilities.
Assist in designing electrical components for project needs and requirements that are set forth by the Lead Electrical Engineer.
Apply basic knowledge of commonly used electrical concepts, practices, codes and procedures within the electrical engineering services industry.
Assist with correcting and updating drawings provided by senior engineers to verify corrections are made within multiple CAD related software.
Education and Experience
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related degree from an accredited program with three (3) years’ experience as Assistant Engineer
Previous internship and/or related experience preferred.
Basic knowledge in standard engineering techniques and procedures.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite)
Basic computer skills include AutoCAD, MicroStation, 2D and 3D rendering programs and other analysis programs.
Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem-solving skills
