Nursery Design Lead
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Nursery Design Lead are to:
Manage communications between the site, Global planning teams, scientists & breeders to coordinate site-wide nursery planning and execution;
Direct internal planning and execution with operational groups;
Follow up pipeline in each stage and ensure KPI related to timelines, quality and quantity of seeds are met;
Forecast and communicate labor, land, greenhouse resource needs to effectively deliver the site business goals;
Provide metrics, summaries and analyses to drive improvements to site performance metrics;
Discuss findings with site lead, operations lead and partners;
Apply science and analytical techniques to support development of new solutions that can be incorporated in to planning and nursery operations;
Apply mathematical modeling and other optimization methods to develop and interpret information that assists with decision making;
Coordinate lab testing schedule and manage data interpretation and execution of nursery strategies based on data results;
Work with IT teams to deploy new platforms supporting nursery automation and data management;
Lead a team of Research Associates, develop talent, ensure feedback, critical conversations, coaching and development planning are happening.

Your success will be driven by your demonstration of our LIFE values. More specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Science, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering or related fields plus 7 years of experience or Master’s Degree in Management Science, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or related fields plus 5 years of experience.
Minimum three years of people leadership experience;
Demonstrated and traceable experience in the seed industry, pharmaceuticals, engineering or related fields, with and emphasis in long range planning & managing product delivery strategies;
Experience with data management and analysis;
Strong English communications skills, with proven and traceable experience managing interactions between local and external teams;
Proficiency in usage of IT tools and their application in operations;
Work independently and as part of a team as well as have the ability to build strong relationships and networks with Bayer’s managers, peers, and other support groups to optimize process workflows and assist in achieving team’s business goals;
Valid Driver’s License.
