The Core Systems Specialist provides day-to-day operations and administrative support of the Core system and performs day and/or night production operations as needed. This position will also partner with stakeholders to test, implement and maintain third-party interfaces to the core. The Core Systems Specialist will also serve as a back-up to the Automation Administrator.
Build and prepare daily, weekly, monthly and annual reports and member notices/statements. This includes reports and data packages required to update third party vendors and systems.
Perform core system upgrades and configure websever infrastructure as needed. This includes installation, testing, deployment and troubleshooting.
Partner with MIS staff and project leads to implement and maintain third-party interfaces in relation to the core. This includes software upgrades, testing, documentation and performance monitoring.
Conduct installations and updates for all test systems in order to maintain relevant copies of our live software and/or database.
Conduct duties associated with the core system databases and SAF Servers. This includes but is not limited to: monitoring database free space and performing appropriate steps such as deleting, resizing, and purging database tables and information.
Maintain archives of computer reports, member statements and notifications, and preparing backups of managed computer systems.
Back-up the Core Systems Automation Administrator in creating, maintaining, testing and troubleshooting jobs managed by the enterprise workload automation solution.
Support department members on special projects and in analyzing user needs/requests in order to recommend solutions.
Responsible for correction of any software issues related to the core system before, during, and after business hours, including contact with service technicians and/or vendor programmers as needed.
Detect, troubleshoot, resolve and escalate incidents and issues in a timely manner.
On call availability required for system support as needed (may include nights and weekends).
Provide support to Core system users as needed.
Participate in core system upgrade events which may require night and weekend work.

Required Education and Experience
High School Diploma.
Fluent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include Excel.
2-4 years of progressive work experience in IT operations and/or financial institution operations.
Preferred Education and Experience
Associate's Degree in IT related field.
Proficiency in automated job scheduling tools, such as OpCon.
