ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Is this the right position to help you achieve your professional goals? Some of the key responsibilities for the position include:
Plan and perform fieldwork such as soil, soil vapor and groundwater sampling, drilling and contractor oversight, bedrock and soil core logging, and remediation treatment system design, operation, and maintenance;
Chemical data analysis and contaminant fate & transport evaluation;
Well installation, aquifer testing, and groundwater monitoring;
Groundwater and soil remedy evaluation, cost estimation, calculations, and implementation;
Interact with project personnel (contractors, project managers, engineers & clients) and assist in cultivating an integrated team approach through open lines of communications and participation in work progress meetings;
Use of industry standard statistical and groundwater/surface water modelling software such as MATLAB, MODFLOW, HEC-RAS, and ProUCL;
Assist with environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance services, and permitting;
Assist clients to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local regulations;
Perform and review project calculations;
Perform data analysis, including preparing maps (using GIS), tables, and figures;
Perform database management; and,
Assist in the preparation of proposals, final reports, work plans, health and safety documents, and the assembly of report appendices;

Training: This position requires health and safety, first aid, CPR, and other training, as well as medical monitoring, paid for by the firm. EDUCATION AND LICENSURE
Bachelor's degree in geology or environmental science or engineering or related disciplines. (required)
Advanced degree in environmental engineering, geology, or hydrogeology. (strongly preferred)
Academic coursework and/or experience with remediation of contaminated sites. (preferred).
Engineer (PE) when eligible (typically 3-5 years from starts of employment). (required for engineering applicants)
Ability to become a Professional Geologist (PG) when eligible (typically 3-5 years from start of employment). (required for geology/hydrogeology applicants)
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
0 to 3 years of experience in environmental consulting. (preferred)
Excellent technical writing skills for environmental consulting applications and outstanding engineering/scientific problem-solving abilities. (required)
Prior field experience such as groundwater sampling, soil sampling, logging rock cores, geologic field camp, and deploying field instrumentation. (preferred)
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, and be available for travel. (required)
Valid U.S. driver s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
