Repair Station Quality Engineer

Job Duties/responsibilities:
The Repair Station Quality Engineer will assist in the management of the Repair Station Quality System, oversee the Receiving Inspection and Return to Service for all Repair Station parts, and managing the training requirements. This individual will ensure all regulatory and customer quality requirements are met, implement robust processes to reduce defects and rework, ensure proper training, and proactively prevent customer disruptions. This individual will transition into the Repair Station Chief Inspector and become the primary manager of the Repair Station Quality System.

Essential Job Functions:

They will manage the Audit and Surveillance programs, Purchase Order reviews, material shelf life and out time, technical data, and calibration, and be responsible for enforcing these standards on Repair Station Sub-Contractors. They will be the liaison with the FAA and for all external quality communications, lead regulatory and customer audits, and will be responsible for ensuring all subsequent required corrective actions are completed. This individual work in a team environment with Engineering, customer support, production personnel, etc. to manage the Root Cause /Corrective Action program. They will maintain and update all Repair Station Quality Manuals and their approvals.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· BS degree in a technical field

· 2 years work experience

· Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Desired Qualifications:

  • 2 years of Aerospace/Aviation work experience
