We are currently seeking a Process Engineer with knowledge of the injection molding process and the relationships that exist between the mold, machine, material, blenders, ancillary equipment and automation. Develop, troubleshoot and improve molding processes.
Participate in daily production support activities, identify root cause of issues and work to resolve.
Lead and document molding trials activities.
Use data to refine and improve processes.
Train and develop shift Process Technicians.
Must have in depth knowledge of the injection molding process and relationships that exist between the mold, machine, material, blenders, ancillary equipment and automation.
Must have experience in processing polyolefin parts with PET processing experience desirable.
Must have Lean/Six Sigma or other advanced problem-solving skills.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products.
Experience with valve gated, multi-drop, hot runner tooling preferred.
Working knowledge of robot principles and controls including EOAT, ability to learn basic robot programming to allow advanced process optimization desired.
Hands on experience with basic laboratory material test equipment such as moisture analyzers and melt index measurement desired.
Must be able to adjust working hours daily and weekly to ensure priorities are met.
Must demonstrate the ability to work within a team.
BS or other technical degree with focus on plastics desired.
Formal training in advanced molding concepts such as decoupled molding and other scientific molding principles.
