Application Web Developer Intern
The Application Web Developer Intern is responsible for the support, maintenance and expansion of our internally developed Business Intelligence dashboards and various web applications. The primary focus of this position will be to work alongside a team of IT and technical experts who are all responsible for driving continuous improvement through operational and financial analytics. Additional responsibilities will include application database design, report writing with SQL server reporting services, SharePoint site design and new evolving technologies that will apply to our business needs.
The Application Web Developer Intern reports to the Software Development Manager.
Area of Responsibility
Translate operational and business needs into technical solutions
In House applications development with new and existing development tools.
Assist in evaluating product specifications
Conduct Code Reviews and assist Management in establishing Standards and Best Practices
Ability to work in an agile environment
Other duties and complete special projects, as assigned
The following knowledge, skills and abilities are needed to be successful in this position:
Knowledge of best practices and latest methodologies
Proficient in development methodologies between test, development and production using IIS web server.
Working knowledge of T-SQL.
Experience with C#, web services and XML development.
Experience with Visual Studio 2010-2013, and Team Foundation Server.
Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency.
Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
Ability to function within a team using collaboration and team dynamics to accelerate projects.
Time Management – ability to prioritize workload and manage one’s own time.
AA or BS degree in Computer Science.
