Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Reports To: Engineering & Maintenance Manager
The successful Mechanical Engineering candidate will have experience with production, project, & maintenance engineering in a fast paced manufacturing environment. Aromair is searching for an engineer who can handle responsibility without a lot of supervision to work with maintenance, engineering, and production teams. Must have an ME degree, continuous improvement experience is a plus, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a plant environment.
Essential Duties (included but not limited to):
Evaluates mechanical and electromechanical systems and products by designing and conducting research programs; applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials.
Confirms system and product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods; testing properties.
Demonstrated proficiency in Siemens 7, Allen Bradley, and one or more of the following: Structured Text, Visual Basic, Assembly, C3, SQL.
Ability to understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Experience in process control and automation with exposure to robotics.
Develops mechanical and electromechanical products by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials; soliciting observations from operators.
Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components.
Assures system and product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and system capabilities; confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes.
Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Provides engineering information by answering questions and requests.
Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting special services.
Maintains system and product data base by writing computer programs and entering data.
Completes projects by training and guiding technicians.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
BS Degree in Engineering or similar
Minimum 3-5 years of experience.
Proficient in standard software applications including MS Office, project management software and web-based meetings/communication software.
Ability to effectively understand written and oral instructions and communicate both orally and in writing to others to include reporting research results and analysis of information.
Ability to work with a team and communicate well with co-workers and customers, including situations where work is fast-paced and deadline-oriented.
Excellent organization skills with attention to detail.
Machine level troubleshooting and debugging.
Equipment Maintenance experience, Conceptual Skills, Quality Focus, Control Engineering.
