As the primary Quality Leader for Alloy Manufacturing, you will assure Quality Excellence by managing key Quality System procedures, collecting and analyzing metrics, presenting reports and recommendations, as well as managing a variety of projects.
You Will Have the Opportunity to:
Develop and execute an annual Quality Plan for Alloy Manufacturing, including goals, training and internal audits.
Manage and improve the NADCAP, ISO9001 and AS9100 quality system, leveraging your in-depth technical knowledge of the AS9100 quality standard.
Prepare reports and presentations in support of customer, manufacturing or vendor issues. Report on the status of activities and key quality metrics. and contribute to continuous improvement as an insightful subject matter expert.
Lead compliance reviews and sign-off as the Quality representative for new business with respect to product quality requirements, quality clauses, special processing, and procurement clauses.
Review and audit orders to determine compliance to customer purchase order requirements and all applicable clauses.
Support Purchasing activities for sub-contract vendors, including monitoring vendor quality systems and compliance to Materion procedures and standards.
Provide oversight of business unit compliance with applicable industry, government, FAR/DFAR, and military quality systems and specifications.
Visit Materion facilities, customers and vendors across the US.
Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen or be a lawful Permanent Resident of the US.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science or other related technical discipline
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Quality Engineering.
Working knowledge of ISO9001 or AS9100 quality systems
Ability to travel - 20% to 30%
