Job Title: Audio Architect
Location: Dearborn, MI
What you’ll be doing:
The Soundstage project is a project developed for Disruptive Sound experiences. It aims to respond and anticipate the audio challenges faced in the future of mobility solutions that are increasingly dependent on technological developments for autonomous and ride-sharing capabilities and to meet those needs for personal audio with privacy, comfort and efficiency.
Functional leadership for the local development group
Lead the planning, definition and high-level design of automotive sound audio systems from a technical perspective
Define sustainable system architecture for audio solutions
Work, Lead & Oversee debugging and qualification activities for Audio technology; coordinate and find acceptable product solutions under short time lines
Will work with Electrical & Audio engineers to investigate innovative & new technologies in the audio sub-system
Collaborate with relevant product management, stakeholders and suppliers to determine system requirements and design
Communicate successfully all concepts and guidelines to development team
Provide technical guidance and coaching to developers
Ensure system meets all requirements - functions, quality, environmental and safety
Provide project time and cost planning
What you need for this position:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering
Proven experience as hardware system architect.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the Design and Architecture of Electronic Systems (analogue, digital, power electronics, microcontroller technology)
Experience in Audio Electronics Topologies and with acoustic design
Basic understanding of embedded software design
Familiarity with UI/UX design
Must be a self-motivated team player with the ability to work in a demanding environment with minimal supervision.
Leadership qualities: Integrity, attention to detail, timeline sensitive, goal oriented
Basic project management skills
Very good communication and presentation abilities
