Design Client and Server Architecture to include hardware platforms, client applications, server services, operating systems, storage networks and LAN
Ensures continued reliable business operations of the infrastructure environment.
Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose and repair hardware, software, peripheral and network malfunctions such as virtual machine/physical server/MS Azure components
Administer, manage and troubleshoot Windows Server 2003/2008/2012/2016 and all versions of SQL
Administer, manage and troubleshoot VMware vSphere ESXI 5.0 or greater including HA, vMotion, thin provisioning, etc.
SAN, NAS and Direct attached Storage installation, configuration and support.
Converting VMs between different platforms and VMware Products. P2V & Consolidation (Both Physical and Virtual)
Manage HCI backup appliances, traditional backup solutions, to-disk backup solutions, tape backup solutions
Administer, manage and troubleshoot Azure cloud environment including Azure Recovery Services (ASR)
Assigned to projects as required.
Design, deploy, support functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN)
Monitor network performance and integrity
Maintain complete documentation
Education and Experience:
University degree in the field of computer technology required
10+ years’ experience working in an IT infrastructure, information systems, network engineer capacity
Experience with a comprehensive knowledge of infrastructure solutions, administration, configuration, procurement and deployment (physical NOC, cloud, etc.)
Microsoft Azure support experience preferred
IS DBA experience a plus
Training Requirements (licenses, programs, or certificates):
Microsoft operating systems
Windows Active Directory, Exchange
Networking (subnetting, IP, DNS, etc.)
NAS, SAN, VMware, Azure, Hyper-V, SCCM, ASR, HA, vMotion, HCI, etc.
Understanding and/or experience migrating datacenters
Solid understanding of any network operating systems (JUNOS, Cisco IOS, Palo Alto)
Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools
Understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP), switching concepts (VLAN, trunking), routing protocols (BGP)
Specialized Knowledge, Equipment, and Applications:
Able to communicate effectively with employees on- site and at other locations including internationally via email, telephone, and in-person
Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening and questioning skills.
Strong documentation skills.
