On this team, you will be working to build features to help keep Indeed’s platform free of spam and fraud content and to increase safety and security for both employers and job seekers. You will be joining a highly collaborative team of talented Engineers.
Who You Are
You will be responsible for entire projects, from working with a Product Manager and Engineers on the problem being solved, possible solutions, the design, implementation and analytics.
We are looking for someone who:
Thinks about why something needs to be built, not just what needs to be built
Knows how to design services to be observable, resilient
Understands importance of incrementally releasing measurable value
Loves to learn and develop new skills continuously
Is willing to work in a tech stack deemed most suitable for the project
Requirements
BS or MS in Computer Science (or equivalent)
2+ years of experience in a combination of the following:
Experience in application development, including services development in Java (or similar OO languages)
Experience with service-oriented architectures, APIs including GraphQL, gRPC, Protobuf, and REST
Experience with event-driven architectures that handle high throughput data streams (Kafka, SQS/SNS)
Understanding of measuring reliability through SLAs/SLOs and driving a culture centered on operational metrics
Experience decomposing a monolithic application of moderate complexity into services
Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills

Salary Range Disclaimer
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
