Closely monitor established quality KPIs, such as scrap reduction, First-Time-Right (FTR), NCM cycle time, and RCA cycle time; assist in the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure KPIs are met.
Manage daily supplier parts quality issues directly with suppliers, and initiate escalation process for the non-improving suppliers.
Control and manage the effective disposition of internal or external nonconforming material due to quality issues. Monitor the company cost to be reimbursed by suppliers.
Direct the medical parts Receiving Inspection process; validate equipment is appropriate & technicians are trained. Optimize this process using SPC.
Respond in real time to production Quality issues; support manufacturing department on assessing the issue and working through the corrective action process.
Contribute to the deviation decision process, with appropriate documentation.
Assist engineering by providing technical support in the development and standardization of quality assurance criteria.
Drive a pro-active process, to do the right things in the right way
Drive continuous improvement activities to enhance quality systems, such as 5S, Lean, First-Time-Right, scrap reduction, and process capability.
Drive the root cause analysis and corrective action process for customer complaints, supplier quality, and, manufacturing quality issues.
Organize product audits (3% to 5% of final production from each product range to be checked, including a 100% check of the new products until stable results), …
Maintain all quality records and documentation in support of manufacturing and in accordance with the QMS and specific customer requirements.
Contribute in TCM, FPM & PQM to improve Quality and Cost.
Develop a Quality awareness among all employees, drive a culture of Continuous Quality Improvement.
Promote Built-in Quality, i.e. Poka-Yoke and Quality Integrated Processes.
Conduct internal and external quality audits to adhere to all ISO requirements.
Skills and experience
B.S. degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Quality Engineering , with expertise in GD&T
5+ years’ experience as Quality or Manufacturing Engineer in a final assembly plant
Technical knowledge on compressor, engine, cooler, electric panel is a benefit
Good understanding of the supplier and manufacturing process of sheet metal, fabrication, powder coating, casting, machining,… and technology trends
Proficiency of QMS, Quality concepts (6sigma, SPC, Cpk, DOE, 5S, FMEA, 8D …) & Safety
ASQ Green/Black Belt, CQE, and/or ISO Auditor certified is a plus
Experience in New Product Development
Previous exposure to global business environments & global companies
Fluent in English
