About Us:
We are a fast-growing, sports-tech startup that's creating a sports stock market where users can trade shares of current professional athletes (think Robinhood meets DraftKings). We are led by a team of experienced entrepreneurs including some of the most accomplished leaders and operators in the technology, media and e-commerce industries. Backed by top-tier investors and sports celebrities, the company is moving quickly to pioneer the future of sports gaming.

If you join our team, you'll work in a supportive and collaborative environment where we place the same importance on our culture and values as we do on delivering a fun and exciting experience to our customers.

About the Role:
As a Trader, you will use a combination of sports knowledge, statistics, judgment and wits to help make a market in Mojo's new "career long" sports bet. You will be assisted by trading algos, data scientists, risk quants and engineers in helping set prices, bid/ask spreads, and other trading parameters.

The business will need to set "IPO" prices in the primary market and provide proprietary liquidity in the secondary market for the duration of a professional athlete's career. Prices should be set with an eye toward increasing trading volume while appropriately managing risk and P&L.

Though the trader's role will borrow from principles used in traditional financial markets, this problem will require innovation in dealing with the unique problem of starting a market from scratch set against the backdrop of professional sports and traditional sports betting and fantasy.

Responsibilities:
Engage in price setting and price discovery by watching live sports, sports news, and market activity
Follow roster, injury, contract and strategy news closely to aid in price setting process
Provide virtually continuous feedback to data science teams on the quality of models, prices and assumptions
Monitor the trading algo's executions, positions along with risk quants
Adjust system parameters based on market conditions.
Communicate relevant news, market events, and system behavior to team members.

About You:
Deep knowledge of sports, in particular major American sports
Professional or quasi-professional fantasy sports, or betting experience a significant plus
Professional trading experience a significant plus, especially in derivatives markets
Creative and flexible thinker. Open-minded and willing to adjust course.
Excellent statistical reasoning ability
Excellent communication skills
Ability to use sound judgment under pressure
Passionate problem solver and hunger to do what's needed to find solutions whether that be trading, analyzing data or collaboration
Comfortable with open-ended problems and working without a perfectly defined script – comfortable helping write the script

Benefits:
We're excited to offer the following benefits to our employees:

Competitive total compensation package including base salary and equity
High quality, low cost medical, vision and dental insurance
Company-funded Health Savings Account with enrollment in high-deductible healthcare plan
401(k) with 4% match starting Day 1
Company-paid life insurance
Generous parental leave
Unlimited vacation

At Mojo, we are committed to creating a diverse environment and are proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applications from all backgrounds and don't discriminate on the basis or race, religion, color, sex, pregnancy, national origin, veteran status, or disability status.
