Mission Protection (MP) Analyst. This position serves as the direct customer interface for an eight person operational analysis team performing various detailed feasibility analyses of defensive and operational space concepts, and various mission capabilities. The analysis performed utilizes many different specialty engineering skills and thus requires an understanding and appreciation of the multi-engineering disciplines. Additionally, this position functions as the Space Situational Awareness (SSA) lead for site operations and capabilities.
To be successful the candidate will need to be highly familiar with current skills and significant experience in the space domain. As a site lead and government liaison, the candidate must have strong communication and customer intimacy skills. The candidate must be able to develop credible technical solutions, with supporting data analytics, to meet mission objectives.
This position requires a dedication to doing what is right for the mission and a daily work ethic to ensure completed tasks are coordinated with site government and/or new tasking is relayed to the remote analysis teams. Attendance at various weekly meetings and tag ups is necessary to convey project status, brief analysis results as well as to receive new tasking and to stay informed on the customers’ issues and challenges. For all products and solutions coming into the government site, the candidate must ensure full coordination and collaboration with company, other contractors, site government, and mission partner organizations.
The candidate must also be a collaborator as operations is a melting pot of government organizations and other contractors. Working across contractor and government lines to pull enterprise solutions together is required to resolve most operational issues. Candidate must be confident, have demonstrated customer handling skills, and strong written and verbal communication necessary to brief customer seniors.
10 years minimum (and current) Space Domain Awareness/Mission Protection experience
24x7 operations experience
Strong written and verbal skills
Ability to work independently and within team environments, both remotely and locally
Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph
Well-connected in the SDA/Mission Protection community
Understanding of and appreciation of modeling, simulation and analysis of mission systems
Special Access Program knowledge and SSA/Mission Protection applicability
BS or MS in Engineering (aerospace, mechanical, electrical, computer, software), Mathematics, Physics or related technical field
