Description: Electrical Consultants, Inc., a leading power engineering consultant firm, has an immediate opening for an experienced protection engineer in its San Diego, CA office.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the relay protection and control engineering associated with high voltage substation and transmission projects through 500 kV. This includes preparing calculations and settings for various types of microprocessor based relays as well as development of onelines and schematic diagrams. Occasional travel required.
Minimum Requirements: BSEE or equivalent degree, 5+ years direct experience in the development of relay settings or combination of education and experience; PE preferred. Excellent communication, organizational and writing skills. Successful applicant may be subject to client mandated drug and background checking. Successful applicant is subject to ECI’s auto insurance carrier requirements. Successful applicant must not require immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
