Novaspect, Inc, an Emerson Impact Partner and global leader of process systems and solutions, is currently offering an opportunity for new graduates for a rotational engineering program to join our fast paced, customer orientated team in our Schaumburg, IL location. The successful candidate will assist our Engineering, Account Coordination and Sales teams in the development and delivery of process control solutions for our industrial customers.
The successful candidate would be working over the course of 12-18 months to give you exposure to products and processes in various areas of engineering and determine an area to further develop their skills and knowledge at Novaspect. Placement opportunities into a department after successful completion of the program include a variety of engineering roles.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Under the guidance of experienced engineers and managers, work on engineering projects as assigned and continue to seek out learning opportunities for gain further experience and knowledge within current assigned area
Provide technical support to engineering, account coordination and sales teams. This may include but not limited to:
Defining control system designs and documentation.
Reviewing control system designs with customer team.
Setup Operator Workstations and troubleshoot computer related problems
Setup Microsoft Active Directories, DNS, Terminal Services, and Group Policy
Develop competitive engineered solutions to customer specifications and requirements using products and services provided by Novaspect.
Prepare quotations and bid proposals.
Understand and implement pricing strategies, marketing and account management plans.
Manage all aspects of customer orders (order entry, purchasing, expediting)
Familiarity with basic understanding of all Product and Service offerings
Develop strong working relationships with both internal and external customers
Continuous understanding of the customer’s business and KPI’s
Understanding of the Emerson Process Management organization and offerings, and the ability to articulate the differentiators in the market
Participate in meetings with different functional teams as needed.
Proactively seek out information and feedback on current assignment from others
Education and/or Experience:
B.S. Degree in Chemical, Industrial, Electrical, Computer or Mechanical Engineering Required
Internship/Co-op or work experience in engineering or sales field preferred
Ability to maintain permanent employment in the United States
Graduation Date between June 2019 and May 2020

Participate in on-going learning (latest technologies)
Ability to lift up to 30lbs (i.e. Workstation and Server Class Computers)
Ability to work extended hours on a computer
