Position Summary and Responsibilities
Teledyne Brown Engineering, Maritime Systems is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to perform mechanical design and analysis tasks for surface and undersea vehicle design, manufacturing and testing.
Key skills are CAD modeling, dimensioning and tolerance placement on drawing, maternal selections, stress analysis and fluid dynamics. Professional coop and intern experience in some of these areas is a plus. Job involves taking designs from a set of requirements and seeing them through manufacturing and testing so hand-on experience with hardware is a plus.
Candidate must hold a SECRET security clearance or be able to acquire one.
Requires a B.S. degree in a recognized field of engineering and a basic knowledge of analysis, design and test techniques. No prior work experience is required. Co-op or related sub-professional experience is desirable, but no mandatory.
Good writing, communication and team building skills are required.
