Reliability Superintendent - Cement Plant

PURPOSE
Responsible for creating, implementing, and monitoring Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) programs. Direct Supervision of Reliability Supervisor, Plant Engineers and Maintenance Planners.

Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for creating, implementing, and monitoring Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) programs including: vibration measurement and analysis, lubrication analysis, thermography, laser alignment, equipment balancing, ultrasonic and non-destructive testing.
Organize, schedule and monitor preventive maintenance activities for the plant.
Provide on-going reports on the CBM program status
Coordinate SAP system operations in the area of preventative maintenance routine (PMR) optimization and development with the maintenance planner
Assist with commissioning of new plant equipment
Lead the planning process for major shutdowns
Responsible to ensure effective team communication
Provide effective individual and team performance feedback
Facilitate the problem solving process
Responsible for the process of gathering input and facilitating task completion through others
Research solutions to technical problems
Direct failure reporting, analysis, and corrective-action system, root cause and trend analysis
Oversee the quality assurance of spare parts and provide critical spare parts analysis; work with purchasing on reduction/clarification of spare parts
Provide employee training in root cause failure analysis and in failure mode effects analysis

RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHER JOBS

Coordinate and monitor the work of the Maintenance Planner, Maintenance Engineer, Reliability Engineer & technicians.
Fill in as needed for the Maintenance Manager

Qualifications:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Bachelor's/University Degree

Preferred field of study: Mechanical Engineering

Other Training/Certifications Required: CBM Certifications

Work Experience: 5-7 years

Travel Requirements: Up to 20%

Licenses/Certifications: Vibration Analysis, Lubrication Analysis, etc…

Competency Profile:
Supervisory experience preferred
5 years experience in heavy industrial manufacturing environment preferred
Proficient in using Windows and Microsoft Office; exposure to SAP a preferred (knowledge of the project systems module within SAP a plus)
Demonstrated experience in setting up CBM programs in heavy industry preferred
