The scope of the company is general contracting and construction work, along with any associated services related to large selected Design and Build projects, either public or private for which it can bring clear and strong added value.
VINCI Construction LLC aim to develop engineering and construction services for large infrastructure projects in various parts in the United States and provide a highly skilled and competitive professional service in construction field.
The Joint Venture including VINCI (33%), Dragados USA (42%), Flatiron Constructors (25%) has been awarded with a $3.3 design-build contract for the I-64 Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel Expansion Project (HRBT) in Virginia, which is the largest construction contract awarded in the history of the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).
Purpose : Setting up projects from scratch with company BIM standards, making early decisions on how to break-up the models and distribute them based on design and construction team needs, geographical location and collaboration requirements. Finally lead BIM Kick-off meetings and manage the daily BIM Management duties in an efficient manner.
Principle Accountability and Responsibility:
Responsible for setting up project with Company BIM Standards from its development to its implementation and enforcement
Key Representative and Support on any matters related to BIM Technology and Production and ensures liaison with any parties involved into BIM (vendors, VCGP Head Office, developer support staff, sub-contractors, etc.)
Provide high quality control throughout the process and compliance to VCGP standards of all shop drawings produces
Adopt a proactive approach by keeping informed on best practices for use of Revit Architecture and BIM and/or on any other BIM related software and new technology software
Develop and enforce BIM documented processes, procedures and workflows within the Project and ensure they are properly implemented and abide by
Proceed to automation in BIM to support standards and productivity
Report to the Top Management on the project s current and forecasted progress in regards to BIM implementation
Initiate and adapt strategies for the BIM Implementation effort, if necessary
Ensure that the any person (new hire or onboard staff) involved in the BIM Management and Implementation is properly trained in order to maintain high level of competency of software through continued use and training
Create and maintain federated model and prevent and communicate about any clash detection through a deep review of design document and analysis of those clashes highlighted in that federated model
Maintain good relationships with designers and/or sub-contractors to ease review of models as needed
Collate Contract BIM Close-out Documentation
Assist Project Team with construction coordination and scheduling and in any BIM related matters (set-up, modeling and detailing, etc.)
Integrate BIM to the Project Construction, Construction Models, Shop Drawings and Schedules
Assess the BIM Strategies and its implementation within the Project
Input for revised planning
Integrated Project Delivery
Education and Experience:
Associate degree or higher in Computer Science, Business Administration or similar field
Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar position preferably within the construction industry
Proficiency in using a variety of computer software applications – Excel must be expert
In-depth knowledge of current BIM Versions with emphasis on project sheet setup
Previous experience in the US is a plus
