Principal Data Acquisition Programmer
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Bayer U.S. LLC seeks a Principal Data Acquisition Programmer to work in Whippany, NJ, to oversee the development of Datawarehouse, Reporting, and Analytics Development.
The primary responsibilities of this role, Principal Data Acquisition Programmer, are to:
working with clinical study team on collecting requirements for clinical database, data quality checks & data reporting using Reporting, Data Warehousing application and tools like Oracle LSH/DMW, and code development in SQL/PL-SQL, SAS, custom code development in EDC using C#; (ii)
analyzing, designing, programming, testing/validating, reviewing programs/reports in Oracle LSH DWH, Oracle DMW; (iii)
defining clinical/external data validation requirements, working with vendors on EDC/DWH and 3rd party system integration, and performing external data loads for data consolidation, data aggregation, data review, and data listings;
collaborating with programming partners to ensure a sound understanding of the technical platforms for standardized solutions to study related requests between clinical Datawarehouse (Oracle LSH DWH and Oracle DMW) , Reporting Technologies (BO, J-Review) ad EDC (Medidata Rave); and (v)
designing reports and dashboards for data review and offering recommendations.

bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Computer Science/IT or Statistics plus eight (8) years of post-baccalaureate and progressively responsible experience in a related position.
working in a technical environment focusing on data warehousing and/or ETL activities using clinical data, external data; (ii) c
clinical trial/study protocol requirements and translating them to technical specifications; (iii)
programming on commonly used clinical technology platforms (i.e., RAVE, LSH, Oracle Clinical) for data acquisition and associated review, and reporting (i.e., JReview, Spot Fire, Business Objects and Crystal Reports etc.);
programming in languages such as C#, SQL, SAS; with the tools and utilities for the management of pharmaceutical sponsor proprietary or industry clinical data standards (i.e., sponsor specific or CDISC/CDASH); (v) working with industry standards on integration technology, such as web services and odm.xml principles of system design, database and edit programming; and comprehensive software testing, inspections, analyses, and other verification tasks performed at each stage of the software development life cycle; (vi)
assisting in implementation of import and export integrations within studies using infrastructure setup by Technology and Integrations, i.e. importing data in to Oracle LSH system from 3rd party systems like IxRS, Labs and export existing consolidated data using (Web Services)/ Adaptor/Load Sets; and (vii)
utilizing the tools and utilities for the management of pharmaceutical sponsor proprietary or industry clinical data standards (i.e. sponsor specific or CDISC).
