Location: North Little Rock, AR 72117

Duration: 2 years – high chances of extension

Hourlyrate: $30/hr on W2

Summary: The main function of a manufacturing engineer is to apply engineering theoryand principles to problems of industrial layout or manufacturing production. Atypical manufacturing engineer has the ability to make engineering drawings,and read and interpret blueprints.

JobResponsibilities: Study time, motion, methods, and speed involved inmaintenance, production, and other operations to establish standard productionrate and improve efficiency. Interpret engineering drawings, schematicdiagrams, or formulas and confer with management or engineering staff todetermine quality and reliability standards. Read worker logs, productprocessing sheets, and specification sheets, to verify that records adhere toquality assurance specifications. Aid in planning work assignments inaccordance with worker performance, machine capacity, production schedules, andanticipated delays. Prepare charts, graphs, and diagrams to illustrateworkflow, routing, floor layouts, material handling, and machine utilization.Skills: Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical andproblem solving ability. Team player and detail oriented. Ability to makesketches, engineering drawings and common computations. Ability to read andinterpret blueprints, technical drawing, schematics and computer-generatedreports. Previous experience with computer applications and software related toengineering field, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD). Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in engineering required. 0-2 years experience required.

ManufacturingEngineer position works both independently and as part of a team to maintainand improve processes and systems used in large equipment manufacturing.

JobDuties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

· Perform technical analysis of manufacturing processes;

· Design / direct the acquisition of all necessary tooling andmachines;

· Troubleshoot day-to-day process issues, develops solutions andmonitors improvements;

· Procure material related to manufacturing improvements throughexternal suppliers;

· Analyze and deploys engineering change notices;

· Establish and maintain standard work;

· Respond to customer issues and lead process improvements


Assist in thedevelopment of detailed systems reporting for major business systems ortechnical support and/or development, integration and implementation projects.Applies systems solutions to business/technical problems through customerinteractions, design, programing, debugging, testing, andintegration/implementation of automated information technology systems andcomponents. This is not a traditional Information Technology role, but acomputer systems-focused role within a technical Manufacturing team with theintent to develop customized reporting and systematic solutions for datagathering, manipulation, and reporting. Data will be made available through avariety of systems (SAP, VPPA, TeamCenter, DeviceWise, Infinity/SPC, MS Office,etc.) This person reports to a Manufacturing Engineering Manager.Responsibilities on the incumbents are with individual assigned developmentand/or maintenance of existing mainframe, PC, server, network, and/ordistributed computing systems and infrastructure. 1. Able to create reportswithin SAP MII and Data Visualization (Tableau/Power BI) to develop &deploy throughout manufacturing facility processes. 2. Provide project &system solutions as a project team member. Position will be expected toparticipate in projects with little supervision. 3. Able to work on complexapplication development. 4. Perform application quality testing and validationthrough customer acceptance coordination. 5. Full knowledge of programinglanguages appropriate for platform support. Spec development, logic &diagrams, and analytic techniques. 6. Perform integration tasks with in-housedeveloped systems & purchased hardware and/or software. 7. Assist customersin training & usability efforts.

Typical Day

This candidate willwork in a team environment, spending 10-15% of their time on the shop floor andthe rest in an office environment. They will facilitate meetings and presenttheir work and recommendations to the management team.
