POSITION SUMMARY

As a CAD Technician, you will work closely with the Engineering team to perform a variety of design/drafting activities and generate daily programs/nests for CNC equipment to meet the needs of production.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare dimensional drawings, 3D models, and 3D assemblies as directed by the Engineering Department.
Revise and update existing drawings reflecting design changes reflecting design changes, to ensure consistent documentation of the project.
Maintain notes, design calculations and other documentation for future reference.
Program and nest manufactured CNC parts for plasma table, router table, and extrusion mill using nesting software to accommodate daily production needs.
Communicate with CNC operators and supervisors to make CNC program adjustments as needed.
Committed to success of BRP team including assisting the engineering team wherever needed

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

High school Diploma
1-2 years of CAD Technology classes or work experience
Experience with both 2D and 3D Cad software (AutoCAD, AutoDesk Inventor, and Creo is a plus)
Experience with nesting software (ProNest, Router Cim, and camQuix is a plus)
Have an understanding of machining principles and programming
Good written and verbal communication skills
Experience with ERP software is a plus
Good math skills
Excellent attention to detail
