o Gather client requirements, analyze, design and create complex application solutions.
o Prepare detailed specifications from which complex programs will be written.
o Develop and integrate complex application code to meet the design specifications for simple to moderately complex enhancements or change requests.
o Perform thorough unit testing and correct identified defects.
o Work with the testing team to resolve issues and to ensure software quality.
o Perform and support certification tests
o Prepare and execute deployment plans.
o Provide application support including complex problem research, analysis, resolution and on-call support.
o Recommend improvements to existing software programs.
o Adhere to Software Development Life Cycle Standards (SDLC) and applicable Data and Technology Services Policies and Standards.
o Provide guidance and training to less experienced developers and analysts.
o Regularly communicate with management and technical support colleagues.
o Performs duties through methods and actions that are consistently ethical and in total compliance with the laws, applicable regulations, Code of Ethics, corporate policies and guidelines and rules of conduct.
o Completes corporate trainings and certifications intended for the detection and prevention of money laundering related activities and fraud, insider training and conflict of interest policies and procedures, as applicable.
Education and Experience
o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent education and related training.
o 2+ years of experience in application design and programming and complex debugging.
Knowledge and Technical Skills Required
Should have experience in the following:
o zOS Mainframe
o TSO, ISPF/PDF
o DB2, SQL, SPUFI
o Proficient in all phases of system support, development and analysis.
o Banking Applications, CICS Web Services and Changeman, are preferred.
o Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish
o Ability to work with minimum supervision and as a member of a team
