About the Organization
MERIDIAN is a consortium of ocean researchers, computer scientists, and data managers building a Canadian data infrastructure for underwater acoustics data and vessel tracking data. Our goal is to create intuitive tools that empower oceanographers, marine biologists and other researchers to use cutting-edge computer science methods in their research by leveraging the machine learning frameworks and tools produced by our data analytics team, as well as data maintained by our data management team.
