The Industrial Engineer will be responsible for direct/indirect labor and activities affecting line speed, cycle checks, workstation assignments, methods/standards, and line balancing. The candidate will utilize lean concepts to identify and eliminate waste and perform time/motion studies. This position will assist the Industrial Engineering Department with technical services to maintain efficient levels of lean manufacturing and manning. The Industrial Engineer will support all World Class Manufacturing (WCM) pillars in continuous improvement activities. Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
Experience in implementation of lean principles in a manufacturing environment
Must be a team player and self-motivated
Ability to interface with all levels of the organization from shop floor to management
Must have good skills with Google Sheets, Slides, and Docs, or similar software applications
Excellent organizational, written and oral communication skills
Ability to work any shift, overtime as needed, and some travel
Engineering Internship, Co-Op, or 2+ years of experience
Experience implementing World Class Manufacturing in a union environment
Knowledge of time study/standards, ratings, MODAPTS, ergonomic evaluations, and budgets
Indirect labor measurement experience
