The Noble Research Institute, LLC. is seeking a full time Agricultural Engineer to work with our Spatial and Applied Ag Technology group, which is dedicated to the deployment of field based technology in order to automate, improve, and enhance workflows within the key operational activities of the Institute.

The Agricultural Engineer will be responsible for creating, designing, and implementing complex integrated field technologies, including UAVs, sensors, machinery, and electrical systems. The ideal candidate for this position is familiar with farm or ranch operations, is passionate about agriculture and natural resources, is knowledgeable about spatial-temporal research data, and understands how to move data from the field to the managed cloud and on premise database.
Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Biology, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related with 5 years relevant work experience is required. Alternately, a master's degree in Agriculture, Biology, Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field with 3 years relevant work experience or a PhD. in Agriculture, Biology, Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field with 2 years work experience will also be considered.
Experience with agricultural technologies (GPS, multispectral/hyperspectral imagery, laser, ultrasonic, LIDAR, etc.) is required.
Experience working with field research data involving sensor and electronic systems is required.
Experience with farming/ranching operations as well as post processing and advanced data analysis is preferred.
