Project Engineers are responsible for delivering projects to manufacturing in support of the plant’s safety, quality, delivery and cost goals. Project work may include development and testing new manufacturing equipment and technologies, supporting new product development, technical problem solving, equipment design, equipment validation, and managing equipment vendors. Project Engineers report directly to the Project Engineering Leader and will indirectly report to a Core Team Leader when working on larger capital projects.

Project Engineers must have strong project management skills including timeline tracking, developing cost/capital estimates, project budget tracking, planning and coordinating resources, proficient technical writing/documentation capabilities, and excellent communication skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Management
Capital Request / Management
Change management including Factory Acceptance Testing and Equipment Validation
Technical Writing including machine specifications, validation protocols, capital requests, and test reports
Concept development including prototype and new product testing
Problem solving
Equipment design reviews
Liaison to equipment vendors
POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering or related field). Candidates without a BS may be considered if they have sufficient experience and skills.
Knowledge of machine design
Project management skills
Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Power Point
Knowledge of CAD, MS Project, and SAP is a plus but not required
High speed manufacturing experience is a plus but not required
Adept problem solving skills
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
