What you will do:
Design custom fixtures and other hardware for prototype evaluation.
Review socket and load board drawings for proper mechanical compliance.
Assist with developing, characterizing and testing new equipment.
Create and update solid models and associated drawings for engineering releases.
React quickly to changing production priorities and develop work-around solutions.
Manage multiple high profile projects simultaneously.
Perform root cause analysis, summarize experimental data, make presentations and write reports on tasks completed.
Initiate technical experiments and ascertain the nature of technical problems in order to devise, fabricate and draft detailed drawings using various mechanical tools.
Read and interpret technical manuals, troubleshooting charts, and other technical documents.
Collaborate with equipment Design Engineers to develop and test prototype equipment and participate in special beta engineering projects.
Interpret various drawings to generate 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings.
Perform engineering liaison with principal contractors to support company standards, customer requirements and equipment modifications.
Collaborate with Production, Maintenance and other departments.
Work from schematics, engineering diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout, and troubleshooting of equipment.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Here’s what you need to be successful:
A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
An interest in the Semiconductor manufacturing field.
Experience with 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred).
Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently with limited supervision.
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical skills.
Basic understanding of machining (especially CNC).
Working understanding of GD&T practices.
Able to lead a full Design of Experiments.
Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) with some experience making technical presentations and report writing.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
