Job Seeker Understanding group focuses on helping job seekers build their Profiles at Indeed and making them available at scale with other teams at Indeed to provide a personalized experience for job seekers with their job search journey. Profiles include all relevant information about job seekers, whether it’s their professional or education experience, contact details, skills, name, location, title, desired title, desired salary, career goals or anything else related to their professional life. A profile is used to help job seekers get matched to the right opportunities based on their wants and needs. The services the team develops need to cater to high scale, low latency and high availability requirements for other teams at Indeed to use and provide a personalized experience.
As a Software Engineer II on the team, you will be expected to design and develop complex large scale services and systems that cater to the needs for a high scale, low latency and high availability requirements. You will be working with Product Managers, Software engineers within the team and outside the team that depend on the team’s data and services. Our technology is based on Java, GraphQL, MongoDb, Kafka, HBase, Hive.
Who You Are
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
3-5 years of experience working with Java or other object oriented languages, MongoDb or other data store technologies.
Previous experience working with high scale, highly available systems.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Ability to work efficiently on a remote/distributed team.

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees.
